Welcome back to Jewel Divas Style.
New Year: We are now 2016, it’s a new year and the end of last year was nothing but shit, literally. I cannot believe what happened to but it can only be written about in length with its own post, or multiple posts, so I’ll leave that for another time. My health has suffered, I was so exhausted, and did I get a holiday over xmas? No! I didn’t! I’m behind on my writing because of it and that’s why I’ve decided to take a break from jewellery making and concentrate on writing so will only be posting twice a week for most of the year and taking off school holidays and long weekends. I will spend a couple of weeks catching you all up on what’s been happening, but after that, starting in March, things need to change. And the Jewel Divas store will be on holiday mode off and on as it moves back to its own website sometime during the year.
New Look: I have a new template. Welcome to Mod Blogger Pro, which uses the genesis theme. I’m really happy with it. It’s fresher, better laid out, more professional looking, and looks better on tablets and phones. The current blog post is at the top under the roller, the social media widgets are laid out better and I love the overall look.
New Shop: So the overall new look leads to the new shop. I decided, and I don’t know why I didn’t think of this ages ago except that I couldn’t afford the new template and genesis so had to wait for it, but I’ve added a store to the blog. I have set up The Style Store to sell the goodies I once loved. That’s right, I am now on-selling clothes, shoes, accessories that I no longer want or no longer fits me, cds, bits and bobs and other things.
The posts over the next few weeks will reflect upon what has happened since I finished blogging last year. I had hoped to start new books but that wasn’t going to happen. I had hoped to have a holiday and get stuff done but that wasn’t going to happen. Nope, the universe had it in for me and didn’t let me rest, now, I’m not even sure I have the energy for this blog. That’s why twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays, will give me the time to do posts, one outfit post and one other, ranging from RSL homes, to business, fashion, accessories and all sorts. I’m going to try and diversify my posts, not just talk about me, but since it’s a blog, that’s what’s going to happen. As a carer it’s hard to live life to the level I want, in fact, it’s actually impossible since my life is not my own. But, the need to talk about it while still talking about sparkling jewellery and keeping to the theme of this blog, Jewel Divas Style, is going to make for a mixed bag of posts.
Anyhoo, I hope your life was better than mine over December and January. I have lots of goodies to show you because what do you do in times of exhaustion and shit, you shop. And I shopped $2000 + over my allotted budget. Bad girl! (most of it went on shoes and kaftans so really, what can I say?)
