My Movie Reviews on The Visit, Extinction, Hidden, and Z for Zachariah.

I got to catch up on some movies from this year and all of them were quite boring so I gave them all 1 out of 10. Really, they could do better considering the amount of money studios get.

Z for Zachariah – In the wake of a disaster that wipes out most of civilization, two men and a young woman find themselves in an emotionally charged love triangle as the last known survivors.

Did I miss something with this movie? I got the main story, the last three people on earth, but I really didn’t get what was going on with them personally. Did he kill Chris Pine? Did she sleep with him? Clearly I fast forwarded through it because it was so dead shit boring I had to and so I must have missed something. Didn’t I?

Hidden – A family takes refuge in a fallout shelter to avoid a dangerous outbreak.

Weird plague type movie turning people into weird plague type things. Interesting, many things left unsaid, like at the end with the look in her eyes. Where did it start, why did it spread.

Funny how not too many movies actually explain how these things spread. At least in 28 Days Later you see the beginning where it came from monkeys. But then, why did the worker not lock off the room and they kill everyone and thing in it? It got out somehow which just goes to show these people who run the CDC and what nots are rather pathetic and useless at their job.

Extinction – And suddenly, overnight, the world came to a halt. Two men, two survivors, one kid, and hatred that separates them. A place forgotten by everyone, including the creatures that inhabit the Earth… until now.

Yep, zombies, of the fast moving variety. But what they turn into is rather interesting. Very… I Am Legend type zombies that adapt to their surroundings. Weird!

The visit – A single mother finds that things in her family’s life go very wrong after her two young
children visit their grandparents.
Yeah, the kids are Australian, the movie is by M. Night Shyamalan and nope, it was not as scary as his other movies. The twist was boring, kind figured it out before the end and so wasn’t surprised. It was rather stupid really, but am wondering if the grandparents were possessed or something. Weird movie, weird story, weird everything.

Just weird shit!
