Well here’s what I do. Get a small clear container. These are a set of 6 from Decor, which I bought from Kmart for a few bucks, and they’re quite small. You can use them for many things really.
I simply use a flat silver metal nail file, although I’m sure you could use or find something else, but a nail file seems to work for me. Dig and scoop around the inside of the tube and wipe it into the container. Continue until you have as much as possible out.
I have the dregs of 5 lip glosses in here, waiting until I have finished the sixth so I can mix it together and start using it.
And because it has a lid, it will keep it clean, dry and away from germs. You can also do this with lipsticks, combine similar shades or make your own. You can then either use a lip brush or cotton buds like I do. And then you can chuck them every few days and keep the germs away. You can also carry it in your make up purse if you need to.
The worn-down lipstick thing happens to me from time to time. I’ll have to try this out!
It’s such a waste to throw out a lipstick or gloss that clearly has a lot more left to use. It doesn’t take much to do and you end up with all sorts of colours if you mix a couple together.
