Black rings today. I have a few and am always buying more. Unfortunately, rings wear faster than most jewellery, except for necklace and bracelet chains. It’s the acid in your skin that wears off any colour, especially gold.

That’s very true about rings wearing faster than other jewelry. I have lots of faux gold ones where the gold color is chipping away to reveal a sort of rose gold underlay. I think that’s also probably the result of washing my hands. Anyway, I agree that sales are the best time to stock up on rings. They can be kind of pricey otherwise. Also, they also seem to be a more unpopular type of jewelry, so there are always lots to choose from on the clearance rack.
I think rings are brass based as mine are wearing too and that rosey colour is coming through. I bought a ring from a chain store once and the first time I wore it it discoloured! Thank God it was only $3 or something.
