And they kind of are, in a way. Both are published originally by the Stratemeyer Syndicate.
The Danas are also mentioned a few times in Nancy books due to a crossover effect when the books were updated. Kind of like when tv shows crossover.
As with the Trixies, there are several print runs from the early years I don’t have. I’m amassing a collection of the white hardcovers, and have all of the 80s mass market paperbacks, and have made a lot of goodies to go with them. I was big on art and craft before really getting into my jewellery making and writing.
As with the other books, all of these will be in my Pinterest board (LINK HERE) so you can follow it. Here’s my Dana Girls collection in full…
There are two white hardcover sets. You can tell the difference on the spine. The pic of the girls at the top has them looking away on one set, and looking at you on the other. I have some of each.
I bought the watch from the Nancy Drew sleuths and the magnets off eBay.
And the mystery madness continues! Despite having read Nancy Drew, I somehow missed the Dana twins. It’s interesting that Keene references them in the updated Nancy Drews; I love connections like that and can see why you’d want to collect these. Anyway, more mysteries means more stuff; when it comes to arts and crafts, you must have a warehouse! The watch is so cool and has a Barbie vibe. You know, if Barbie solved mysteries. 🙂
The Tote Trove recently posted…Mad for Plaid, Psyched for Stripes
Oh, Tote, Barbie HAS solved mysteries and I have a Detective Barbie, and two mystery squad Barbies.
