In trying to finish off small book series, the biggest hurdle has been the conversion rate between America and Australia. A book that once cost $2.95 (the UK Armadas) can now cost $40 or more by the time you add in shipping and then conversion. But I managed to get a few pieces here in Aus to help complete collections. The rest came from overseas.
I’ve completed my Linda Craig series.
There are only four reprints, that I know of, and two I don’t want. The first is the US hardcover set of six that cost $203.89
Up next are the UK Armada mass market paperbacks. Very Nancy Drew-ish from the ’80s, number 10 is supposed to be rare. I managed to find one on Abe from the UK, and after I got it found one on Aus eBay. Oi! Always the way. There is also supposed to be number 11, very, very rare, so who knows if I ever find it.
In total, this set cost me $204.99
You can see both of these series on my Pinterest board here.
My Murder, She Wrote collection has grown with these books. Several I bought last year and forgot about, so here they are.
I managed to get the original MSW CookBook for $98 here in Aus. I also managed to get the hardcover omnibus edition of three novels.
I bought the latest book in the series #56, plus found Murder in Two Acts.
I found these funky Murder, They Wrote books with stories from other writers.
I got this version of a jigsaw puzzle here in Aus and just have two more to go before the sets are complete.
My Crime of Fashion books haven’t been continued at this stage by Ellen, but she is slowly reprinting the books under her own label with her own covers. These two are the newest to get a cover makeover.
You can catch up with these series on my Pinterest board here.
So that’s some of the smaller collections wrapped up for 2024. What books have you guys collected this year?
