Trixie Belden, Schoolgirl Shamus!

My next sister up used to read the hardcovers we all called “the uglies” due to their cellophane covers. But did I get to read them? NO! Thanks for nothing, bitch. And then she gave them to an op shop. Anyway, I’ve managed to acquire a largish collection of my own and will slowly add to it when I find good versions of the formats. There are multiple printings of Trixie, the first three versions I don’t have and will most likely have to buy from the US, but the uglies, the creams, and the yellow box covers are very predominant here. There are also quite a few goodies to collect still, so here’s hoping I may be able to actually COMPLETE a collection one day.

All of these photos have been added to my Pinterest board (LINK HERE) so you can follow that instead of this post.

So here’s my Trixie goodies including everything I’ve made, and forgive the crappy pink tablecloth, this was during the re-organisation of a good couple of thousand books so I didn’t have time to make them pretty. Xmas, Halloween, stationery sets…

Ooh, another new (at least to me) girl sleuth! I never heard of cellophane covers referred to as “uglies,” but I remember them from the school library. They were always kind of cloudy, though, so the nickname is fitting. Love your super cute creations; the pink glitter globe is a stunner!

Thanks, Tote. Trixie’s been around for decades and is probably as famous as Nancy.
