We’ve had the three new shows, NCIS New Orleans, Scorpion and Madam Secretary, start in the last week or so here in Aus.
Now, I’m going to watch NCIS NO anyway as I’m a NCIS gal from way back when I was married to my gorgeously gorgeous ex-husband Michael Weatherly.
I love that we get to see another city of America that’s not New York, Washington or Los Angeles with all the other cop shows on tv past and present. I do love Scott Bacula too so that helps.
And Lucas Black is in it but the only thing he keeps reminding me of is that show he was on as a kid, American Gothic, when he was the son of Gary Cole. Weird show that. And it was created by Shaun Cassidy.
Madam Secretary is an interesting concept but it reminds me of that show that Gina Davis did where she was suddenly the president. I think I’m a bit over political shows and while I like Tim Daly, I’m not a fan of Tea Leoni. I saw the first ep and didn’t watch the second. I don’t think it will be a show I watch on a regular basis, like The Good Wife, which also returned to tv this week. I’m a bit over that too.
Scorpion, the previews looked a bit too much for the 6:30 pm time slot here in Aus, but I gave it a go, as I do most new shows, and I like it. I don’t get too much into the hows and whys and whether anything is real enough or way too fake, it’s tv, I don’t care.
It’s the same concept as many other shows about geniuses and how they use their wares and how the government uses them too. It fills an hour of otherwise boring tv time and it’s not a bad time waster.
