I’ve missed a lot of Jem goodies over the years. I always remember, back in the late ’80s, seeing the dolls, outfits, and playsets on the shelf at Kmart. I only had one doll, we couldn’t afford them. From memory they were $30 each, but I could be wrong. I really wish I had them all, but did end up buying another doll from a collectible store, so I can do both Jem and Jerrica.
And then a company called Integrity Toys bought out ranges for many years before they stopped. You can see those here – click link. They were around the $150US mark, and didn’t make it here unless we imported.
Then there was the bomb of a remake movie I refused to watch and refuse to mention past this point. *shudders*
Pop Funko then got into the fray with their Jem and Pizazz dolls, which I showed a couple of years ago, and now they’ve brought out Jem and The Holograms plus SYNERGY!!!!!!

Then came the two variants of dolls by Super7 Retail and their Reaction figures.

This year, thanks to The Loyal Subjects and Loungefly, Jem and the Holograms have been brought back to life for the new generation of lovers.
Loungefly came out with multpile goodies to buy, and I managed to get A FREAKIN’ KEYTAR BAG!!!!

I put on my star top, my new black tulle silver star skirt, my pink heels, and my pink star jewels and accessories to get as Jemified as I could. It even freakin’ sings and the keys glow in the dark!!!!!! OH.MY.FREAKIN’.GOD!!!!!!!

Loungefly also came out with a gorgeous black mini backpack, purse, and a pink mini backpack (that lights up) and matching purse. I found out months too late these existed and hope one day to actually afford the pink set.

The Loyal Subjects made a Jem doll for a toy fair, and it sold madly because it was available through one store only. When the rush became too much, they reissued them internationally, and brought out Glitter n Gold Jem, and the Holograms. Hopefully, The Misfits are next. While reasonably priced US$ wise, with the conversion rate it’s going to put them up a bit for us here in Aus. They also have a Jem and Synergy doll set, below, which I’ve ordered, but it hasn’t come in yet.

The LS also remade Monsters, Rainbow Brite, Popples, Ninja Turtles and more from the ’80s. I remember the Monsters from the ’80s and always wanted the blue one. Alas, never got it. But then again, I’m also looking for ALF plushies, but people want exhorbitant prices for 45 year old toys that are not pristine.
What toys have you guys bought recently for the inner child still within you?
