I can’t believe it’s already ten bloody years since she passed away.
We’ve had no more books, no memoir, even though she had been writing it, and the Lady Boss documentary is yet to be released on DVD to buy. You can read about that here.
I dedicated an entire book series to her, mention her in stories and novels, and try and live by her Bonkbustingly amazing standards when it comes to writing. And I really wish I had all of her writing desks.
Every year, I’m always buying different cover formats, the jewellery from her early ’90s TV channel line, audio books, movie videos, and other items. But this last year, with the price of conversion, and the costs of putting out seven books this year, the items have been few and far between.
I did manage to get the Bonham’s auction catalogue, in hardcover of course, and here are some pics. And ugh! The jewellery!

I also managed to get the matching emerald earrings to the necklace I bought last year.

I also managed to get a watch, one I hadn’t seen before, and the doorknocker panther necklace/pin. I had bought one of these a couple of years ago with the earrings as a set, but the shipping company lost the parcel and eBay refunded the money. I’ve managed to buy another necklace.

I found the UK Pan Macmillan hardcover of The World is Full of Divorced Women.

Finally found a better dj version of Lovers and Gamblers UK, plus a US Pocket book format of Rock Star.

And bought two of the jewellery cover editions, The Love Killers, and Hollywood Husbands. They’re embossed and foiled, and my favourite US edtion.

I also googled her old house and found that the buyers, who bought it for $21 million, spent $25 million on upgrades and were selling it for, get this eye-popping amount, $66 million in January. In March they dropped it a few mill to $59,500,000 million. Cripes!

While I don’t like most of what they’ve done, changed the sandy colour interiors to dull and cold neutrals of black, white and greys, there are a few things they’ve done that I would have if I’d been able to buy the house. The upgrade itself is pretty damn good, and I had no emotion about it. The first few years when I saw them tearing so much up, it broke my heart. Jackie passed there, she designed it, her husband Oscar passed before she moved in. Her fiance Frank was sick there (not sure if he passed there), and it was very much Jackie, and now it’s a posh mega mansion for a billionaire. At that price, it would have to be.
You can see the rest of the pictures, and a new video, on the real estate agent’s website here.
