We’ve just finished Masterchef on channel ten and now they’ve started the Bachelor AND they have The Great Australian Spelling Bee for kids coming up in a week or two, plus the U.S. Think You Can Dance and American Idol on their sister channel 11 along with Bachelorette.
And all that was after I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Recipe to Riches and Shark Tank.
Channel seven has Restaurant Revolution AND Dancing With The Stars which both started straight after House Rules finished.
Channel nine has Hot Plate, Britain’s Got Talent, The Voice AU, Lip Sync Battle, and god knows what else and they came after Married at First Sight, Reno Rumble, The Block and two Survivors.
All we’ve had all year, is when one show ends another starts, show after show after fricken’ show.
We are drowning in reality shit and that means good tv shows get kicked to the fucking curb for bullshit garbage people are over. American shows are kicked to the curb and since the networks spend all their cash on reality shit, there’s nothing left for decent home made drama or comedy.
Channel ten were crapped on this week for dragging out the Masterchef finale and constantly playing ads for other reality shows in the breaks.
Channel seven copped the same social media backlash two weeks before when they had the final of House Rules.
The networks are out for viewers and ratings, yet sadly, the way they treat the public is turning the public off and will result in less viewers and less ratings.
Either way, I’ve had a gutful.
