Every year I write the same things on my lists, simply because I can never seem to actually finish anything. Collections are never completed, bits and bobs never bought. So year after year my plans are the same.
Here we go with my JD Style plans for 2025 and what I’ve completed.
Social Mafia
– 1 – Do the usual beginning of the year posts, and then maybe once a fortnight.
– 2 – Update JDS with the theme updates. I keep putting this here and it doesn’t get done.
– 3 – Continue to post to socials two to three times a week, depending.
Health
– 1 – Continue with the chiro.
– 2 – Continue using other measures to help my weight issues.
– 3 – Look at other measures to help my nail issues as they’re even worse than they were before.
– 4 – Get will done!
Fashion/Jewellery
– 1 – Try and find the pieces I need for my collection.
– 2 – Continue with repairs as they come to hand.
– 3 – Steam my capes. Yeah, still haven’t done this.
Other Goals
– 1 – Finish off my smaller book collections. Trixie Belden, Dana Girls, Connie Blair, Kay Tracey, Hardy Boys, MSW.
– 2 – Finish of my Swatch collection.
– 3 – Finish off my Caboodle and Sassaby collections.
– 4 – Redo Nancy paperwork to simplify and make it easier. Yeah, I still haven’t done this but will try and get to it mid-year.
I had a lot of book expenses this year, my fault, I released 4 new books and re-released 3 updated ones, plus a horror guide. The conversion rate from America is stll high, and after my book expenses I don’t have $200 left for buying a Sassaby or Caboodle, so I’ve tried to keep my buying costs down. A $15 book here, a $20 thing there, and only 1-3 per month to keep a budget which always goes over every month by $200-500.
Yikes!
But it’s on me. I do these things because I want to, because I have a need to, and they cost money. So my short list here every year is basically leftovers in the fun loving, glittering style department of my life. And then this year i started collecting author named stationery…
As for next year, I’m already thinking about blogging, and when to do it, if I do it. While every two weeks has been a breather, I’m not sure I can keep it up with my lack of everything. I haven’t bought as much as usual, due to conversion. I did read a lot of books, but that will stop over Christmas and probably until next winter.
I don’t know. I’ll keep thinking about it.
See you next year!
