Except for one top in December, I didn’t buy any clothing, jewellery or accessories over the Xmas holidays, but I did buy some books and tried to catch up on what I had been after, now that Amazon had marked the prices down.

I caught up with two Megan Hess books I was after.

The first, being Fashion in Colour. A gorgeous edition to the collection, I waited all year for this to be affordable. It wasn’t available in any store, so I could only get it online.

She did chapters on each colour.

An under pink, the pink princess herself, Barbie, got a look in.

Marilyn Monroe makes her first appearance in the red chapter.

And her last appearance in the white chapter, in one of her most infamous dresses.

Weirdly, Megan included white, but not black in this book. While black and white are both neutrals and not colours, I’m surprised it wasn’t included. Meanwhile, the front and back endpapers are handbags!

I also managed to buy her Perfume book. It came from Amazon, along with the Colour book. With gold edges, it’s the same size as her others smaller books. I won’t be collecting all of her books, as I don’t like the look of some of her fashion designer books, I prefer the pretties, but it’s also a matter of shelf space I do not have.
