Part 3 is all about my red and pink sets and how I massively overhauled them to reduce wastage of pieces.
When going through my pieces, I found that many things needed to go, could be remade, or simply joined into a set.
Below, I joined up my red crackle set of necklace and bracelet stack with a newish pair of crystal earrings, and my druzy stack and two rings, all into one new set.
I then took my heart sets, of which there were two. My heart set (which I retired the bead necklace), and my Old England set (removed all crosses), plus my pinkish red heart bracelet.
Took the earrings from one set, joined them with a new pair of earrings I bought before Christmas, and made an entirely new pair, to make the below set, fresh and renewed.
A year or two ago I showed how one of my skull earrings had broken. Pic of old set and busted earrings below left. Well, I finally figured out what to do with them. I turned a necklace into the other earring with a stud from a pair of star earrings.
When I looked at my pink heart set I thought the earrings and necklace were looking a little old. So I retired the pink glitter necklace for now, added an earring to the smaller necklace, and after finding these gorgeous pendants, made a new pair of earrings and a gorgeous new necklace for the set.
Now, turns out, I had multiple star sets. So I pulled them all out, found that the silver multi set could be divided between the pink and the black set, and the earrings were made into charms for the black bracelet.
The way I saw it, what was the point having so many of the same sets just because they were in different colours. They barely get worn as is, so why not cut down by amalgamating them?
What have you guys amalgamated lately?
Amalgamation nation indeed! Love the matte red and sparkly pink heart pendants 🙂
They are gorgeous, Tote.
