Every year, at this time, I do my yearly audit. When I tell you how much I threw out, how much I bought, and how much I recycled, plus numbers for how much and its worth.

This is going to be a short post.

I can tell you, as of December 31st, 2025 I had this much after the audit…

655 pieces of clothing

1 belt (it was shedding)

1 watch (I didn’t throw it out, but the band broke. And it was a Swatch, too!)

My collection is quite abundant, and will ebb and flow throughout the years to come as I throw items out and bring items in. Which, at this time of the year, the Xmas/new year period, I’m normally buying bargains left right and centre.

Alas, not this year.

The only item of clothing I bought was this cat top from an op shop for $9 in early December.

I haven’t needed any other clothing, and with dozens of stores closing, including my favourite, Millers, there is even less to buy. Our Kmart doesn’t have great clothing anymore. The only things I bought from them last year were a couple of pants and my Fleetwood Mac jumper.

I did buy some books though, so they will be coming up in the next few posts as we head towards April and Nancy’s birthday.
